Propane golf carts can emit carbon monoxide and the indoor areas where these are stored should have CO monitors in place. The Gas-Alert II is a common choice due to the low cost and ease of use. A propane leak monitor should be considered in the tank storage area

If the carts are battery operated, consider hydrogen monitoring in the battery charging areas. The EC-Gold Dual is ideal for these areas because it can accept remote explosion proof or general purpose sensor inputs. Hydrogen sensors should be mounted near the ceiling.
